DAVID Blight has reached an agreement with APN Property Group to leave on Thursday March 28.
Blight announced his resignation from the company last month after four years as managing director.
He was supposed to remain with APN until a replacement is found.
Executive chairman Chris Aylward yesterday said APN is actively looking for a new CEO and is hopeful of securing the right person shortly.
“As previously advised, we are sad to see David depart, but respect his decision. He has done an outstanding job in stabilising the business through the challenging conditions of the last four year. I’d like to thank him for all his hard work and valuable contribution to APN and to wish him well for the future,” Aylward said.
Blight joined APN in 2008 following a four-year stint in the Netherlands as the global CEO of ING Real Estate Investment Management. Prior to that, he was the CEO of ING Real Estate Australia.
Blight has had a long history in real estate and funds management in Australia and globally, having commenced with Armstrong Jones in 1989 prior to it being acquired by ING Group affiliates in 1996. Between 1998 and 2004, he oversaw the growth ING Real Estate from $800 million to $5 billion.
