THE Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union is challenging the Victorian government's ban of Lend Lease from tendering for projects in the state.
Late last year the Ballieu government banned Lend Lease from tendering for government projects in the state for four years after it found a Lend Lease and CFMEU’s four-year deal, Joint Development Agreement 8 (JDA8), did not comply with the National and Victorian Codes of Practice for the Building and Construction Industry.
The agreement has been approved by the Fair Work Australia.
The CFMEU has launched legal action in the Federal Court against the ban and claims that the ban is breach of the Fair Work Act.
