OPTEON Property Group has appointed John O’Grady to head up its Victorian commercial valuations business.
O’Grady has held many senior positions including that of managing director at Savills and Knight Frank Valuations.
After leaving Richard Ellis in the 1986, he created the agency and valuation consultancy firm MacEwan, O’Grady and Lockie with two other partners. The company was later renamed Chesterton International before being partly bought out by First Pacific Davies and later the Savills group.
More recently O’Grady was the head of acquisitions and disposals at Becton Property Group.
In his new role at Opteon, he will be primarily responsible for the commercial, retail, industrial, together with large residential and other project developments and specialist properties sectors.
