CBUS Property has appointed Bauldertone, a subsidiary of Lend Lease, to construct Melbourne’s new City West Police Complex.
The $140 million contract will involve the design and construction of nine storeys building for Victoria Police’s major criminal investigation teams, a purpose-built police station as well as parking facilities for 300 vehicles.
Lend Lease CEO Steve McCann, said the contract strengthens the group’s construction portfolio in Victoria.
“Lend Lease has a proven track record in delivering complex commercial buildings. We are very pleased to be working with Cbus Property and the Victorian Government to deliver these new facilities for the State police service,” McCann said.
Demolition of the existing buildings is currently underway and project completion is scheduled for March 2015.
