THE Australian Constructors Association has elected Glenn Palin, managing director of John Holland Group, as its new president.
Palin has more than 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, including the past 19 years at John Holland which was a founding member of the ACA in 1994. He has been a director of the ACA since 2009 and has previously held the positions of vice president and chairman of its safety committee.
Palin replaces outgoing president Peter Brecht. Brecht was thanked for his substantial contributions.
“ACA is a highly respected organisation within the construction and infrastructure sectors. Our members operate global businesses employing over 100,000 people in their Australian and international operations and have a combined annual turnover exceeding $50 billion,” Palin said.
The ACA also elected John Flecker and David Saxelby as joint-vice presidents. Flecker is CEO Australasia for Brookfield Multiplex Limited and Saxelby is chief operating officer construction and infrastructure, Australia at Lend Lease.
