LEND Lease has been awarded a $208 million contract for the redevelopment of Lakeside Joondalup Shopping City in Perth.
Lakeside Joondalup is jointly owned by the Lend Lease managed Australian Prime Property Fund Retail (APPF Retail), and an institutional investment partner.
The redevelopment will transform the 71,000 sqm gross lettable area regional shopping centre to a major-regional shopping centre of circa 96,000 sqm GLA.
The expansion will include a new two-level, 12,000 sqm Myer department store, dining precinct, and approximately 95 retailers.
CEO Steve McCann said the contract expands Lend Lease’s project management and construction business in Western Australia, in line with group strategy.
Construction will commence this month, with completion in late 2014.
