HANSEN Yuncken has secured a contract for the $65.6 million redevelopment of the Echuca Hospital in northern Victoria.
Building works will commence next month and is expected to be completed in early 2015.
The redevelopment – to be constructed over two stages and across three distinct locations on the existing hospital site – will add 8,500 sqm of new area and increase the hospital’s in-patient beds by 66% to 113.
Hansen Yuncken’s Hume regional manager Jason Cox said the company was pleased to be involved in providing an expanded health service for people in regional Victoria.
“We constructed the Echuca Regional Health campus more than 20 years ago, and the awarding of this project demonstrates our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality projects throughout regional Victoria and southern NSW through our offices in Shepparton and Albury/Wodonga,” he added.
“This project win further enhances Hansen Yuncken’s reputation in the health sector. We’re involved in more than $1.6 billion of health projects currently underway around country.” Cox said.
