WATPAC Construction has been awarded the contract to build Blacktown Hospital’s new multi-level car park.
The $10 million design and construct contract forms part of the new $24 million facility, which will create more than 600 new car parking spaces over six levels.
The new car park is a key part of stage 1 of the $300 million Blacktown and Mt Druitt Hospital redevelopment project.
Watpac Construction’s NSW state manager Ric Wang said he was delighted the company had been selected as the preferred builder on the project.
Design works are scheduled to commence in October 2012 with construction on track to start early next year.
