GPT has won three awards at the 2012 NSW Government’s Green Globe Awards in Sydney.
These were for Best Energy Efficiency Strategy, Best Business Sustainability Strategy and Best Built Environment Sustainability Award for GPT’s work environment.
GPT’s CEO Michael Cameron said he was pleased that GPT had again been recognised for its commitment to excellence in sustainability and innovation.
“We recognise energy efficiency as one of the most cost effective means to reduce greenhouse emissions and the constant drive to ‘do more with less’ has seen energy use reduced by 18% across our growing portfolios of retail, office, logistics and business park assets.
“In fact, energy use per square metre has been reduced by 28% when compared with a 2005 baseline.” he added.
