LEND Lease has delivered the new $570 million Brisbane Supreme Court and District Court building.
Lend Lease’s project management and construction managing director Murray Coleman said the Brisbane Supreme and District Court is one of the largest court buildings in Australia.
“It’s an iconic building that has changed the face of Brisbane’s CBD, creating a major new public square and reactivating the central Brisbane location. The quality of the design, workmanship and materials will stand the test of time and ensure this building features prominently in any portfolio of the best Australia has to offer,” he added.
Coleman said Lend Lease had been delivering landmark projects in Queensland for more than 30 years including a number of the State’s major public building projects like the Millennium Arts at the Queensland Cultural Centre, Royal Brisbane Hospital, Brisbane Correctional Centre redevelopment and the Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre expansion.
“We look forward to moving towards practical completion of the Gold Coast University Hospital in the coming months and starting construction of the Sunshine Coast University Hospital,” he concluded.
