AMP Capital has decided to end its joint venture with AMP Capital Brookfield and bring its global real estate and infrastructure management in-house.
AMP Capital chief investment officer David Kiddie said the decision is aimed at continuing to strengthen AMP Capital’s offer to clients both domestically and internationally.
All current AMP Capital Brookfield real estate investment professionals based in Sydney, Hong Kong and London will remain with AMP Capital, and continue to manage more than $5.5 billion on behalf of clients.
Meanwhile AMP Capital has bolstered its in-house expertise with the appointment of Matthew Hoult as head of global listed real estate, based in Sydney. He has 14 years of experience and was formerly BNP Paribas Investment Partners chief investment officer global property.
A team of listed real estate professionals based in Chicago has also been appointed to cover the Americas and will be lead by senior portfolio manager Joseph Pavnica, former BNP Paribas Investment Partners head of American real estate.
Other new portfolio managers and analysts appointments to the listed real estate team include Robert Thomas, Matthew Hodgkins and Dominic Cappellania.
In the global listed infrastructure team, Tim Humphreys will become head of the division, supported by four analysts in Sydney and London.
