SAVILLS has established a new commercial property team in New Zealand, as part of its expansion in the Asia Pacific region.
The agency has recruited two prominent executives to head up the new Auckland office.
Doug Osborne and Paddy Callesen have been appointed as joint managing directors of Savills New Zealand.
Osborne has almost 30 years’ experience in the residential, commercial and retail property sectors and is the founder and former Chairman of Landplan Property Group.
Callesen has more than 25 years’ experience including 18 years with CBRE where he established the company’s industrial-focused South Auckland office. He has also previously worked with JLL and in town planning and property development.
Savills Australia & NZ CEO Paul McLean said the expansion in line with the company’s commitment to pursuing a measured growth strategy across Australasia.
“The Savills New Zealand business will have an initial focus on Corporate Real Estate Services and the Industrial and Retail markets, and will further enhance the Savills brand and service in the Asia Pacific region,” he added.
In New Zealand, Savills also maintains an associate relationship with leading residential real estate company Barfoot & Thompson.
