BROOKFIELD Multiplex has finalised construction of the $700 million Hilton Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast, just over two years since taking on the development from collapsed property company Raptis.
Brookfield Multiplex sales and marketing director Tim Willing said the development has recorded more than $430 million in residential apartment sales to date.
Willing said the finishing touches had been made to Hilton Surfers Paradise’s second and final stage, the 57 level Orchid Tower, with work wrapping up ahead of its scheduled October completion date.
Settlements has began for the 224 residences in Orchid Tower, which span from level 16 to level 57, and Hilton Hotels & Resorts this week welcomed the first guests to the dedicated 169 room Hilton Hotel, situated from ground floor to level 15.
Brookfield Multiplex officially took the reigns of construction and marketing of Hilton Surfers Paradise in June 2009, and completed the 186 residences in the first stage, the 32 level Boulevard Tower, just in time for Christmas 2010.
