HANSEN Yuncken has completed construction of Costco’s second Australian store at Auburn in Sydney.
The company also previously completed Costco’s first Australian store at Docklands in Melbourne in 2009.
The $38 million large-format retail Auburn store consists of 14,000 sqm of retail space, two levels of car parking, and a further 2,000 sqm of mezzanine office space to house Costco’s national head office.
Hansen Yuncken chief operating officer Chris Bulmer said practical completion was completed on time and within budget.
“Hansen Yuncken has again shown it has the capacity to understand and meet the retailer’s construction brief, and also to achieve tight deadlines to allow trading to occur according to the client’s schedule,” he concluded.
