THE Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research has reappointed Jones Lang LaSalle to manage its national property portfolio.
The three year contract was awarded via an open tender process, includes within the portfolio approximately 92,000 sqm, which comprises approximately 95 leases around Australia.
There is a cross section of tenancies in the portfolio, including large commercial office buildings, client facing service centres housing divisions of DIISR such as AusIndustry and Enterprise Connect.
JLL’s head of government business Andrew McColl said this latest appointment boosts JLL’s Commonwealth Government portfolio under management to over 1.45 million sqm.
The firm currently manages property tenancies and facilities on behalf of Federal Government agencies including Department of Human Services (including Centrelink and Medicare Australia), Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA), Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC), Family Court of Australia and Australian Customs and Border Protection Services.
