THE Australian Property Institute Victorian Division has welcomed the API Tasmanian Division to the 2011 Excellence in Property Awards.
Nominations are now open to all Tasmanian properties, which fit the criteria for all seven award categories. Victorian and Tasmanian entrants will be judged separately.
The API Excellence in Property Awards recognises innovation and outstanding achievement across the entire property industry, with individuals, groups and sector projects being eligible to enter in one or more categories.
There are seven categories for the API Excellence in Property Awards including:
· Environmental Development Award
· Property Industry Award
· Property Development Award
· Joe Curlewis Property Trust Industry Award
· Heritage Property Award
· Local Government Property Award
· Young Achiever of the Year
These are the criteria for the nominations:
Property Industry Award
This award is made to an individual or team in public or private practice who have demonstrated the qualities of leadership and vision that lead to a change in the property industry in the interests of either property practitioners and/or the community at large.
Local Government Property Award
This award is made to an individual officer or local government organisation that has delivered or influenced the delivery of a completed project that contributes to the local community.
Young Achiever of the Year
This award is made to an individual who has, at an early stage in his/her professional career, achieved outstanding performance in property by his/her contribution to his/her organisation and/or the property industry.
Heritage Property Award
This award is made to an individual or organisation in recognition of outstanding treatment of heritage issues in the context of a development project.
Joe Curlewis Property Trust Industry Award
Awarded to a listed or unlisted property trust, or property syndicate for financial performance and innovation in the property trust industry.
Environmental Development Award
Awarded to an individual, organisation, or development team in recognition of outstanding treatment of environmental issues in the context of a development project.
Property Development Award
The Property Development award may be made to an individual or an organisation and honours outstanding work in the development of a single building or structure, a group of buildings or structures, land development, or infrastructure.
The winners will be presented with the award at a Gala Awards Dinner to be held at The Arts Centre, ANZ Pavilion on Friday September 2nd 2011.
