THE Australian Direct Property Investment Association will change its name to Property Funds Association of Australian following an Annual General Meeting in Canberra.
President Robert Olde said the members voted unanimously in favour of the change and the re-election of Olde as the president for a third consecutive term. Olde said the proposed name change was considered appropriate by members as it better reflects the evolution of the association.
The AGM saw the association welcome a number of new members to its executive. The new members are Hamish Bowman of Salvest Capital, Harry New of Hall and Wilcox Lawyers (now Secretary of the Association), Nick Anagnostou of Austock Group and Andrew Shearer-Smith of McMahon Clarke Legal.
Olde also thanked the outgoing committee members or their contributions. This included Vicki Allen (formerly of Trust Company), Scott Morgan (REPEP), long-serving committee member, Honorary Secretary and life member Steven Kunstler and Rick Goldberg (Madgwicks).
