CB Richard Ellis has expanded its Western Australia residential projects business with the appointment of Ian Tan-Kang.
Tan-Kang has come on board as director of the WA residential projects team, based in the Perth CBD.
CBRE WA managing director Peter Agostino said the launch of the new WA business was consistent with the firm’s strategy of adding complementary services to its core offerings to provide clients with more comprehensive real estate solutions.
Tan-Kang comes from a financial background having graduated from the University of Hawaii with a degree in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from the University of San Francisco.
He joined the Australia real estate industry in 1992 when he bought into a local real estate company operating in South Perth. Tan-Kang later relocated to Singapore in 1996 to take on a role in the financial industry, but returned to the property market in 2001 when he joined Coldwell Banker (Singapore) as an associate director.
He moved back to Perth in 2003 and has since specialised in project marketing services.
