THE Australian Federal Police has appointed Jones Lang LaSalle to manage its facilities including fitting out 11 major airport sites around Australia.
JLL’s Project and Development Services business will manage the international airports in Adelaide, Alice Springs, Brisbane, Cairns, Canberra, Darwin, Gold Coast, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
The program covers 24 sites, including AFP’s airport offices and purpose built specialist K9 facilities.
JLL’s Australian head PDS Kevin Hastings said a major factor in the awarding of the contract was the firm’s innovative delivery strategy which involved using multi-site methodology versus traditional project-by-project implementation.
Hastings said this latest appointment had resulted in an expansion of the firm’s Federal Government portfolio in Australia.
“This contract is one of the 346 assignments fulfilled this year by the PDS team. In Australia we have national coverage and our specialists have experience delivering the most complex project and construction management projects.
“We are building a strong reputation as a key provider to the government sector, which coupled with our Strategic Consulting and Facilities Management business divisions, positions us as a true end-to-end service provider,” Hastings concluded.
