STRALLIANCE Developments has appointed Western Bulldogs football club chief Campbell Rose to the newly created position of CEO.
Chairman Benni Aroni and managing director Gary Caulfield announced that Rose who has been at the helm of the Western Bulldogs since 2002 will take up his new role in early January 2011.
“We are thrilled to have attracted someone of Campbell’s calibre to join us. I have known Campbell and admired his achievements for some time, and I believe his unique combination of strategic vision, proven management skills, financial acumen and operational expertise will serve to propel the company forward and achieve our ambitious goals in Victoria and beyond,” Aroni said.
Stralliance Developments was formed in 2006 and specialises in residential projects ranging from home and land packages in Melbourne’s outer suburbs to inner suburban townhouses and large apartment developments, the most prominent being Eureka Tower.
One of its key subsidiaries Watersun Homes is a top 10 Victorian home builder. In a few short years, Stralliance has grown rapidly into a business turning over in excess of $75 million, employing over 80 staff directly and over 500 sub contractors and constructing more than 300 homes, 250 townhouses and apartments annually.
Rose said this role is an exciting new challenge.
“Having spent the best part of my career in intellectual property rights, sports and event creation and management, following my experiences as an Olympian, I look forward to moving into the fast-paced and creative world of property development. The management skills I have developed over the past 20 years will be put to good use in continuing Stralliance’s rapid expansion and stellar success to date,” he concluded.
