QIC Global Real Estate’s Robina Town Centre has won the Queensland Property Council of Australia’s Retail Property of the Year, for the second time in a row.
This year the centre achieved outstanding results by winning three major awards offered – the Excellence in Presentation Award for Major Regional Centres over 50,000 sqm, the Excellence in Marketing Award for Major Regional Centres over 50,000 sqm and the ultimate prize – Retail Property of the Year.
QIC global head of real estate Robert Carter said the $400 million expansion would ensure the centre continued to meet the needs of the growing Gold Coast region.
“This is the first time in the past decade that the Retail Property of the Year Award has been given to a property two years in a row and is recognition by our industry peers of the outstanding success of Robina Town Centre’s multi-staged expansion.
“Next month, we will welcome the arrival of national retailer Myer and a stunning new fashion mall, completing the latest phase of development in QIC GRE’s expansion project,” he added.
Robina Town Centre now boasts more than 330 speciality retailers, including David Jones, Big W, Target, Kmart, Coles, two Woolworths, the Promenade Lakeside Dining Precinct and Event Cinemas.
