JONES Lang LaSalle has made two appointments to the firm’s sustainability business.
Joel Quintal will take on the role of director of sustainability, Australia and Matt Clifford has been appointed to national sustainability manager.
Quintal will return to Australia after six years experience in the UK focusing on sustainable property investment where he most recently director of sustainability and environment for Prudential Property Investment Managers in London – a top 20 global real estate investment firm.
Clifford comes from Mirvac where he was responsible for sustainability across all commercial, retail and industrial activities. He will be focused on the integrated facilities management and the property and asset management.
“Both Joel and Matt will play a key role in further enhancing our sustainability offering to our clients to ensure we remain market leaders in the sustainable real estate services space. Our Sustainability service is a key client offering. It long ago went from ‘nice to have’ to ‘must have’ in leading the market and exceeding client expectations,” JLL Australia CEO Stephen Conry said.
Quintal said the Australian property industry is at an exciting stage where organisations that embed sustainability in their decision making will demonstrate market leadership as more owners focus on future proofing their portfolios.
