LEND Lease has lured two internationally recognised green building experts, Ché Wall and Joe Van Belleghem to work with the company.
Wall and Van Belleghem will work with Lend Lease’s head of sustainability Maria Atkinson, with an initial focus on supporting Lend Lease’s large integrated urban regeneration precinct projects.
CEO Steve McCann said Lend Lease is proud of its leadership in sustainability.
“We believe it is a key driver of growth opportunities and we will continue to develop and build sustainability service capabilities to improve the group’s product offerings,” he added.
Wall was the managing director of the WSP Lincolne Scott group of companies and was the founding chairman of the World Green Building Council. He was also co-founder of the Green Building Council of Australia and its Green Star rating system.
Van Belleghem was the founder of the Canada Green Building Council and served on the board of directors for the US Green Building Council. He was the CEO and founder of Canadian developer Windmill West, the developer behind Dockside Green, a world-leading sustainable mixed use development which has won numerous industry accolades and awards.
