HANSEN Yuncken has appointed prominent architect Tim Shannon as a director.
Shannon was managing director of Hassell architecture firm from 1993 to 2008 before setting up his own practice last year. His project credits include St Vincent’s Public Hospital Redevelopment, Commonwealth Law Courts, Bourke Junction and Waterfront City in Melbourne, the Qantas Domestic Passenger Terminal in Sydney, and one40william in Perth.
“We are very pleased to have been able to attract to our board someone of the calibre of Tim Shannon. He has been managing director of one of Australia’s foremost architecture firms for 15 years, and brings a great deal of experience to our Board,” Hansen Yuncken executive chairman Peter Kennedy said.
Shannon has a Bachelor of Architecture (First Class Honours) from the University of Adelaide and a Master of Architecture (Urban Design) with the University of Toronto. He has received several individual awards and was responsible for the design concept and leadership for a long list of projects that have since received major architecture awards.
