CONSTRUCTION company Hansen Yuncken has appointed Dale Steele to run its new Townsville office.
Steele has been appointed regional manager and will be responsible for overseeing the ongoing expansion of Hansen Yuncken in North Queensland and delivering on significant commercial construction projects.
CEO Peter Kennedy said Steele’s combination of project management experience and local knowledge made him an excellent choice to grow the business in the Townsville region.
“He was most recently responsible for delivering the inaugural Townsville V8 Supercar project for Leighton Contractors, and prior to that worked with the Townsville Port Authority and Townsville City Council. He also has substantial experience in property development,” Kennedy added.
Steele was born in Townsville and spent the majority of his childhood in the city. He returned to study Engineering at James Cook University, from which he graduated in 1993.
Hansen Yuncken last month moved into new, bigger premises in Townsville to meet increased demand in construction projects and to provide accommodation for more staff. Its offices in Townsville and Cairns employ more than 65 staff.
