RMIT University has invited landlords in Victoria to participate in an online survey aimed at shaping rental policies for the future.
The survey will conducted by RMIT University’s Centre for Design and the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute. The Victorian Residential Landlords Survey, part of a study commissioned by the Victorian Government, will help inform future policy relating to rental properties.
Director of the Centre for Design, Professor Ralph Horne, said the online survey of landlords was the first of its kind in Victoria.
“This project aims to take a detailed look at how landlords approach property maintenance and upgrading.
“We’re trying to understand where landlords are coming from, the challenges they face and the opportunities, so we can work out the best strategies to shape housing policy into the future,” he added.
All landlords who complete the survey are eligible to enter a prize draw but time is running out, with the survey closing on 28 May. Prizes will be drawn on 4 June.
“There has been a great response to the survey so far, with hundreds of landlords from around Victoria taking part.
“We want to hear from as many landlords as possible, so we hope to see hundreds more getting involved before the survey closes at the end of this month,” Professor Horne said.
