SAVILLS Australia has lured one of Melbourne’s leading commercial agents, Nick Peden from Knight Frank.
Peden has had a six year career as a senior member of Knight Frank sales team. He follows in the footsteps on Clinton Baxer who joined Savills late last year.
Baxter is now head of division – city sales and investments and Peden will be divisional director – city sales and investments.
“It has always been our intention to build a best in class sales team and the recruitment of Nick Peden is evidence of this ambition. We are extremely excited to have someone of his calibre join us and it provides us with a great opportunity to build on the success that the team has enjoyed already in 2010,” Savills Victoria managing director Dominic Long said.
The appointment continues the recent trend of high profile agents migrating from rival agencies to Savills, including the strong industrial team of Lynton Williams, Joseph Catanese, and Daniel Kelly from Colliers and Ben Hegerty from Jones Lang LaSalle, who formed Savills Australia’s new south-eastern office at Notting Hill in February.
