LEND Lease's Victorian headquarters, The Gauge, has been recognised for excellence in interior design.
Lend Lease has received the Award for Excellence in Interior Design of a Major Commercial Building at the IDEA Awards held in Sydney.
Lend Lease collaborated with leading interior designers Heckler Phelan Guthrie and WHO design on the award winning project.
Lend Lease project director Chris Carolan said the offices at The Gauge highlights the company’s commitment to innovative workplace design.
The Gauge has received a number of awards since it was completed in April 2008, including the Sustainable Architecture Award at the 2009 Australian Institute of Architects Victorian Chapter Awards, the Built Environment Award at the 2009 Premier’s Sustainability Awards and the Boral National Environment and Energy Efficiency Award at the MBA 2009 National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards.
The Gauge was the first building in Australia to achieve a 6 Star Green Star – Office as Built v2 Certified rating from the Green Building Council of Australia and was also awarded a 6 star Green Star – Office Design v2 Certified Rating.
The property is located at 825 Bourke St in Victoria Harbour, in Melbourne’s Docklands precinct.
