WATPAC has scooped five prizes at the Australian Institute of Building National Professional Excellence in Building Awards in Brisbane.
The awards event recognises building contractors from across Australia who have delivered exceptional projects, often while overcoming extraordinary challenges.
Watpac’s awards included Certificates of High Commendation for the One Macquarie Street luxury apartments at Teneriffe in Brisbane, the Airgate 4 Project at Southridge Industrial Estate in Sydney, and the Australian Film Television and Radio School Project, also in Sydney.
Watpac was also presented with Professional Excellence Awards for the $43 million Sir Llew Edwards Building at the University of Queensland’s St Lucia campus in Brisbane, and for the $216 million Single LEAP Stage 1 project, which involved the construction of accommodation for Defence personnel at Amberley and Enoggera in Brisbane, and at Holsworthy in Sydney.
Watpac’s mangin director Greg Kempton said being recognised by an industry body such as the Australian Institute of Building at a national level is a great honour for Watpac
“I congratulate the project teams on these well-deserved awards, and look forward to their continued success,” he added.
