MELBOURNE'S new Convention Centre has collected to accolades from the Australian Property Institute Victoria Division.
Opened in June and developed by Major Projects Victoria and the Plenary Group under a Public and Private Partnership scheme, the centre won the API President’s Award and the Environmental Development Award.
It is also the first to achieve six green stars for a convention centre from the Green Building Council of Australia, and last month won the Banksia environmental award.
Other awards presented at the annual dinner of API, which is made up of valuers and land economists, included the Industry Award, won by Herron Todd White for its new valuation tool, and the Heritage Award won by Hamton Property Group for The Rathdowne apartments in Carlton.
