GPT'S Rouse Hill Town Centre has won the Energy Green Globe Award from the Department of Environment and Climate Change Energy.
The Green Globe Awards are the leading environmental awards in New South Wales. Winners on the night were selected by an independent panel of expert judges and announced at the gala event hosted by the Hon. Carmel Tebbutt, NSW Minister for Climate Change and the Environment.
Rouse Hill Town Centre comprises 70,000 sqm of retail space. Launched in March 2008, the property is currently tracking at a 40% energy saving when compared to a traditional shopping centre of the same size.
GPT originally set a target to reduce the centre’s eco-footprint by 25% when compared to a traditional shopping centre of the same size and the Centre is now tracking at an eco-footprint reduction of 32%.
