COLLIERS International has opened a new office in Ballarat, Victoria's largest regional cities, as part of its regional growth strategy.
CEO John Kenny said the company had identified the city as its next growth location due to its prime positioning as a major regional centre.
“At a time when other real estate groups are retracting in size, Colliers International plans to add more office locations before the year is out.
“Ballarat’s strategic position at the centre of one of the state’s most significant freight, tourist and transport routes provides a unique opportunity for our Victorian clients to expand into this growing market,” he added. The Ballarat office will be run by directors David Wright and Andrew Lewis, who share more than 45 years of professional real estate experience.
The opening of the Ballarat office takes Colliers expansion to seven new offices in the last two years, following Hobart, Tamworth, Coffs Harbour, Wollongong, Penrith and Toowoomba.
