Corporates sign to Sydney's first Green refurb

FIRMS IPP Consulting and Resources Global Professionals have become the latest companies to prelease space at 50 Pitt Street – Sydney CBD's first refurbished building to achieve a 4 Star Green Star Design rating.

IPP and Resources Global have negotiated rental leases of 250 sqm on levels 3 and 4 respectively of the 19-level building.

These latest lease agreements, finalised in the past week alone, form part of a growing list of tenants seeking space in this prime CBD location, in the heart of Sydney’s financial district. Two months ago, Liberty Financial secured a lease on a full level of approximately 600 sqm, while law firm Wood Mackenzie took occupation of a full floor about a month ago.

Jones Lang LaSalle’s commercial leasing manager Jeremy Piggin said interest was increasing sharply as the building’s extensive $17 million refurbishment nears completion.

“We are noting a lot of interest from firms particularly in the finance, infrastructure, professional services and recruitment sectors.

“50 Pitt Street offers companies a boutique-style floorplate in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. Ideally suited to small- to mid-size firms, each floor can comfortably accommodate between 40 and 60 people in a modern environmentally friendly open-plan design,” he added.

Features include the latest environmentally efficient Chilled Beam Air Conditioning, whilst the new T5 light fittings are highly energy efficient and fitted with electronic ballasts to prevent flickering.
