URBIS has further strengthened its West Australian business with the appointment of planning expert Ray Haeren.
Haeren was director of Planning and Sustainability at the City of Gosnells and most recently he managed the broad-ranging Cockburn Coast Structure Plan. He has also undertaken a range of work for the Department for Planning and Infrastructure associated with sustainability assessment and facilitating urban regeneration and driven the planning for a broad range of residential and industrial subdivisions in metropolitan and regional areas.
Haeren will work alongside Adam Isitt who was the first director of planning to be appointed to Urbis WA, following the firm’s merger last June with leading urban design and landscape architecture firm TRACT (WA).
Urbis WA’s regional director Stuart Pullyblank said Haeren’s addition would sharpen Urbis’ competitive edge in the local market.
“Ray is truly one of WA’s planning alumni and is extremely highly regarded by his peers and the business community. Attracting him is a genuine coup for the firm and further attests to the cachet of Urbis, which is fast establishing itself as an employer of first choice over here,” Pullyblank said.
