CB Richard Ellis has appointed valuer David Bruce-Clarke to its retirement village valuation team.
Bruce-Clarke will assume the position of senior director of CBRE’s retirement housing and healthcare team.
He was previously a director at independent property advisory firm m3property. He has provided a wide range of valuation and advisory services for Stockland, AMP Capital Investors, Prime Trust, Cbus,
Bruce-Clarke said the seniors living sector had emerged in recent years as a viable investment option for major institutional investors.
“The sector was a sleeping giant for many years and was dominated by not-for-profit organisations,” Bruce-Clarke said. “However, in the past two years a series of major institutional deals have highlighted the desire for larger players to enter what is undoubtedly one of the most sought after market sectors at the current time.”
