Brookfield crosses the finishing line

BROOKFIELD has secured over 90% of Multiplex securities making its offer for the group unconditional.

Meanwhile, Brookfield has extended its offer date expiry from October 31 to November 12 to shareholders who have yet to accept.

In the event those shareholders have not accepted after the offer date expiry, Brookfield said it will proceed with the compulsory acquisition of the outstanding securities.

Yesterday, there was also a changing of the guard at Multiplex.

Allan McDonald and Barbara Ward have resigned as directors and Mark Wilson has resigned as company secretary, effective immediately.
