THE Macquarie Direct Property Fund was awarded Highly Commended for the Property Trust Industry Innovation Award at the 2007 Australian Property Institute NSW Excellence in Property Awards.
The Property Trust Awards recognise the outstanding achievements in the property profession and acknowledge the efforts of individuals and/or teams. This year, judges saw the highest number of submissions and the highest calibre of entries in the history of the awards.
According to API judges in QLD, the fund stood out for “creating a market responsive and high performance property fund that has strong investor bias”.
“We are delighted with the awards and recognition which the Macquarie Direct Property Fund has received,” Fund manager Richard Stacker said.
“On a global front, the fund has offered investors a unique opportunity to participate in Macquarie Real Estate’s international deal flow and in the years ahead, it is well positioned to capture the best of local and global direct property opportunities, as markets continue to develop and open up around the world,” Stacker concluded.
