URBIS has scored a lucrative contract to develop a planning framework for the Dubai Emirate, the land of infinite opportunities.

Urbis gazumped a global list of 39 companies who tendered for the project, which was shortlisted to four consortia. The evaluation procedure concentrated on the ability to deliver a high quality urban planning product within a relatively short period of 14 months.
Delighted managing director Michael Barlow said Urbis was deeply honoured to be given this commission and responsibility to work on the future plans for the world’s most dynamic city.

“Our global track record was a key factor in our selection: Urbis has spearheaded the development of an Urban Framework Plan for the neighbouring Arab Emirate of Umm al Quwain, developing an urban blueprint for the coastal emirate which lies between Sharjah to the west, and Ras Al Khaimah to the east,” he added.
