QIC has started the multi-staged expansion of its Robina Town Centre on the Gold Coast.
Stage One is expected to cost around $250 million which is set to create three new malls linking with the existing food markets and transforming the lake into a vibrant entertainment and leisure precinct.

The existing Robina Town Centre features the Gold Coast’s only David Jones department store, as well as Birch Carroll & Coyle Cinemas, Target, K-Mart, Woolworths and Coles.
The expanded retail mix will offer a new next generation, large format Big W, a second Woolworths and up to 100 new fashion and specialty retailers, many of which will be new to the Gold Coast.
The addition of an estimated 1,100 bay car park structure will take the centre’s total carparking spaces to approximately 6,000; increase the food court to accommodate 900 seats; a lakeside dining precinct with up to 10 restaurants and new children’s interactive playgrounds.
The entire expansion is scheduled for completion in 2009, and the centre will remain open for business throughout this period.
