AMP lodges DA for Pacific Fair

AMP Capital Investors has lodged a Development Application for the redevelopment of Pacific Fair Shopping Centre on.

The centre is jointly owned by the AMP Capital Shopping Centre Fund, AMP Australian Core Property Portfolio and Westfield.

Built 30 years ago at Broadbeach, Pacific Fair is an icon on the Gold Coast.

AMP Capital Shopping Centres’ managing director Peter Feros said lodging the DA is the first step in a lengthy planning process which should see construction commence in 2008.

“We expect the proposed redevelopment of Pacific Fair to be one of the largest shopping centre projects in Australia over the next few years,” he said.
