BOAT builder Bill Barry-Cotter has released his latest project at the Gold Coast Marine Precinct.
The $28 million state-of-the-art premise will be located at 75 Waterway Drive and is his third project in the precinct to date, following the successful $20 million Waterways Business Park.
Luxury cruiser and sport boat builder Maritimo, which is headed by Barry-Cotter, will occupy part of the new facility for its research and development operations, with the remaining factories available for sale or lease.
Barry-Cotter said
“The Gold Coast Marine Precinct is not only one of Australia’s premier boat building facilities, but the centre of boat building in south-east Asia. As a result, the massive demand for quality factory space in the precinct has not slowed down,” he added.
It will comprise of 11,899 sqm underroof, boasting a total of 41 factories specifically designed for the marine industry and offering expansive hardstand areas, plus 240 car spaces.
The complex has been under construction for the past year and is due for completion in late September.
Marketing agents Brad Johnston and Jeff Litzow, of Colliers International Gold Coast, have already secured substantial interest in the premises, with several multi-national companies among the purchasers and tenants.
Litzow said there had been strong interest in the development.
“To have a large percentage of the development pre-committed prior to its official launch is testament to the popularity of the precinct and how highly sought after space in the area is.
“The development will also be fully managed, ensuring the on-going presentation of the facility is maintained to a very high standard,” he added.
