HE was a rookie when he started at AMP 35 years ago and left to build a $12 billion superannuation fund, but Don Luke is back to join the board of AMP Capital Investors.
Luke is well known for building the Queensland-based superannuation fund SunSuper and during his tenure of just over 10 years as chief executive, assets under management grew from $600 million to more than $12 billion.
Before joining SunSuper, Luke spent almost 25 years with AMP after joining as a Graduate Recruit. He worked across a broad range of areas including actuarial, superannuation management and life insurance administration and spent time in
Luke left SunSuper earlier this year to enable him to focus on working on the community service sector. He is currently the executive director of the Community Services Commission for the Anglican Church in South East Queensland. He is also a director of the youth-oriented Splash Aquatics Pty Ltd and the Bible Society.
