Pentacle promotes Merrill Lynch talent

PENTACLE Property Funds Management has appointed Patrick Crammond as the chief executive.

Before joining Pentacle 18 months ago as one of its founding members, Crammond was the co-head of Merrill Lynch’s Equity Capital Markets team in Australia. He has more than 15 years experience as an investment banker working in the European, Asian and Australian capital markets specialising in the raising of equity capital.

Crammond takes over from Professor Bob Officer, who has stepped down from his role as executive chairman but remains Chairman.

Crammond said a year on since its launch, Pentacle has made significant inroads in attracting investments from retail and institutional clients.

“Outlook for the property sector is strong. We will continue to generate a keen interest in the retail and wholesale markets with our distinctive strategy of adding value to investment portfolios by building a portfolio based on leading sector specialist direct property investment managers,” he  added.
