ING Real Estate has appointed David Gilbert as the new managing director.
He will be based in the
Gilbert joins from JP Morgan Real Estate where he was a managing director of the alternative property fund division, focused on non-core real estate assets.
Prior to that, he served as managing partner of the JP Morgan Partners Real Estate Group and co-chairman of The Peabody Funds, a global real estate opportunity fund co-sponsored by JP Morgan.
Gilbert has spent more than 25 years in real estate finance and the investment management industry. Before joining JP Morgan Partners in 1998, he served as head of real estate at the California Public Employees Retirement System where he directed a broad restructuring of the group’s $6 billion real estate portfolio.
