Thiess to build Polaris Data Centre

THIESS has been awarded the $121 million to construct Australia's most modern data centre for the Springfield Land Corporation.

The development will involve the design and construction of a six storey data centre which will host mission-critical Information Communication Technology that will accommodate Government, corporate and enterprise customers.

Thiess’ Queensland general manager Michael Rosengren said construction will commence in June.

“Thiess is excited to be involved in this innovative project that will provide Queensland’s only Tier 3+ Data Centre capable of meeting the high demands of Australian and Asia Pacific blue-chip companies.

“The Polaris Data Centre will allow many organisations that have traditionally built, owned and operated their own data centres to outsource this service to an off-site, secure and managed location,” Rosengren said.
