RAPTIS Group has unveiled the newly refurbished Holiday Inn Surfers Paradise following a $15 million makeover.
Raptis bought the 22 level hotel, formerly called ANA, in May 2005 for $105 million before undertaking the major refurbishment, which involved all guest areas including the lobby, porte cochere, restaurant, day spa, conference facilities, business lounge and 404 guest suites.
This is the first major refurbishment since the hotel first opened in August 1986.

“Since assuming management of Holiday Inn Surfers Paradise in early 2005 we have been working with Raptis Group as the hotel evolved and the results are truly beyond expectations.
“These enhancements will appeal to travellers who love the Holiday Inn brand, which currently has a network of close to 1,400 hotels around the world and over 300 more in the pipeline,” InterContinential Hotel Group’s Australasian chief operating officer Keith Barr said.
