PEET's chief operating officer Brendan Gore will takeover as the new chief executive of the company following the retirement of Warwick Hemsley.
Hemsley is retiring on August 05, following the expiration of his current contract. But he will remain on the board of directors in a non-executive capacity.
Peet’s chairman Tony Lennon said
“However, very importantly, he has set in place a solid management structure and excellent personnel to serve the company as it continues to implement its strategies for growth,” he added.
Meanwhile, Lennon said Gore has been a member of the senior executive team since joining the company and has played a lead role in driving the activities that have backed the continuing growth of its asset management, land syndication and funds management business.
Lennon said the company will now embark on the search for a new COO.
Peet shares closed 0.08 cents lower at $3.90.
