JLL joins forces in Netherlands

JONES Lang LaSalle is joining forces with one of the leading independent property advisors in the Netherlands, Trooswijk Makelaars.

Jones Lang LaSalle will acquire all Trooswijk Makelaars shares from Trooswijk Groep, creating a new market leader in the Netherlands.

Trooswijk Makelaars is one of the largest and fastest growing independent property advisory firms in the Netherlands. The firm has an impressive client base, employs 75 people and offers office and industrial leasing, capital markets, advisory and research services.

JLL currently employs 150 people in the Netherlands, with offices in Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Eindhoven.

The new Jones Lang LaSalle management team will include Eric de Clercq Zubli, managing director, Holland; Trooswijk Makelaars’ current managing director, Marijn Snijders will become chairman; and Eric Huigen continues as chief operating officer.

The merger of the two companies will take place on May 10, 2007. Over the course of the year the two firms will become a single company and trade as JLL.
