New manager at Hansen Yuncken SA

COMMERCIAL builder Hansen Yuncken has appointed Peter Salveson as its new state manager for South Australia.

Salveson replaces Tony Swan, who will set up Hansen Yuncken’s new Cairns office. Hansen Yuncken has recently been appointed preferred contractor for the $140 million Cairns Domestic Terminal Redevelopment.

Hansen Yuncken chief executive Peter Kennedy said Salveson had worked locally and overseas on a range of major commercial and civil engineering projects – most recently on the design and construction of the Adelaide Airport’s new terminal.

Hansen Yuncken also announced the appointment of Chris Pratt as operations manager for South Australia.

Mark Rosenboom will assume some of Pratt’s prior construction manager duties while continuing to manage the SA Water development in Adelaide’s Victoria Square.

“The South Australian branch maintains a very experienced management team, which has a clear focus on continuous improvement and retention of its leadership role in the South Australian non-residential construction market,” Kennedy said.

Last year Hansen Yuncken announced record turnover of $607 million for 2005/06. It currently has more than $1.8 billion worth of work in progress nationally.
