DTZ announce new team for Asia Pacific

Former head DTZ Australia David Steventon has been appointed chief executive of DTZ Asia Pacific.

David Steventon joined DTZ in 1971. He was previously the managing director of DTZ Australia and formerly a director of New Zealand and remains Chairman of the India business. He is also a Past President of the British Council for Offices.

The move follows the appointment of CY Leung’s to Chairman of Asia Pacific. Edmund Tie has been named as Vice Chairman.

DTZ employs some 6,000 people across 38 offices in nine countries across the Asia Pacific region.

Leung was appointed Chairman in December when DTZ Holdings plc announced its purchase of the remaining 70% stake in its North Asia business. He was also appointed at the same time to the main Board of DTZ Holdings plc.

Leung and Tie both formally joined DTZ in 1999, following an equity exchange. CY, formerly the Chairman of the North Asia business, has been a member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong since 1997 and is currently the Convenor. In 2003, he was elected a member of the National Standing Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.

Tie, Executive Chairman of DTZ South East Asia, has more than 35 years experience in real estate.
